History behind the founding
Alpha Phi Omega Epsilon kappa Chapter was founded on August 31, 1975 by Bro. Faterno Fernado in BCAT (Bulacan College
of Arts and Trades) now known as BSU (Bulacan State University). Alpha Phi Omega Epsilon Kappa chapter was first introduced
by Bro. Jose "Junvic" Victor of Alpha chapter. But unfortunatelly due to lack of time and some conflicts, Bro. Jose Victor
gave the command and responsibilities to Bro. Faterno fernando to continued his leadership and hard work to be able
to recognize by the National Council. Back then, Epsilon Kappa chapter was temporarily affiliated by the two
chapters which are, Beta Pi (Baliuag University) and Beta Iota (Bulacan National Agricultural School) and with the
helps of some brothers from that chapters. The group met the requirements set forth by the National Office And finally
on March 30, 1980 when it was fully recognized as Epsilon Kappa chapter.
The
chapter continued, as a small organization (compared to today) through the 70's, 80's, and 90's. Unfortunately, the chapter
ran into some problems in the early 1980s.Two of our brothers killed in front of malolos capitol (capitol view). No facts are known on why this
was done by our rival fraternity from NCR.After struggling for a couple more years, Epsilon Kappa chapter went strong and concrete.
The chapter remained rather small (2-4 members) from 1986 through 1988. Membership slowly grew to about 10-20 members
by early 1993. Membership has exploded since 1993, and the chapter has become a very recognizable organization on campus.
The chapter has participated in numerous service projects in the Bulacan State University. We have worked with organizations such as the Gift of blood (Blood letting),
free book covering, students assistance, etc.
Although times have changed Epsilon Kappa Chapter still keeps up with their original style and traditions started
years ago.

Alpha Phi Omega sets the standard for campus-based volunteerism. Alpha Phi Omega today is the single most representative
undergraduate intercollegiate organization in the United States of America.
Based on three Cardinal Principles -- Leadership, Friendship and Service -- APO is meant to aid each member in discovering
and developing leadership abilities; making and securing lasting friendships; and planning and providing useful services for
others.
For three-quarters of a century, APO has made a positive difference in the lives of college men and women and has
helped to improve the quality of life for individuals in need. Nearly 300,000 students have been initiated into Alpha Phi
Omega since our founding in 1925, and our current Membership exceeds 17,000 students at approximately 350 colleges and universities.
Alpha Phi Omega is much more than an extracurricular activity. It is believed that within each of us there lies the
potential to make our campuses, our communities and our world better places in which to live. Alpha Phi Omega begins as a
college experience, but it becomes a lifetime commitment to turning that noble ideal into a practical reality.
providing service to the college campus, the neighboring community, the nation as participating citizens, and to each
of their own fraternal brothers.
BE a Leader, Be a Friend, Be of service
